Welcome to the mesmerizing marketing
podcast, where we take a deep dive
2
:into the latest marketing trends,
tools, and tips, and provide you with
3
:the top resources you need to thrive
and make your marketing mesmerizing.
4
:And now here's your host Dimple Dang.
5
:Welcome back.
6
:My mesmerizing marketing tribe.
7
:I know it's been a little bit since
I have uploaded a new episode, but it
8
:was December and the holiday season.
9
:And as we know, things can get a little
bit busy with holiday travel and all those
10
:things, but I am back and I'm here to talk
to you about the latest and greatest in
11
:AI and what you need to know about the
latest AI releases, the latest AI news,
12
:and what you can expect in the upcoming.
13
:Months, years in terms of what the top
thought leaders are saying about AI.
14
:So one of the things that I want to
talk to you guys about is something
15
:new that Google has released,
and it is called Google Gemini.
16
:Google Gemini is a new
generative AI platform.
17
:And what Google Gemini is, is
it's basically next generation.
18
:generative AI model family, and
it's developed by Google AI Research
19
:Labs, DeepMind and Google Research.
20
:There's three different variations of it.
21
:There's Gemini Ultra,
which is a flagship model.
22
:There's Gemini Pro,
which is a light model.
23
:And then there's Gemini Nano,
which is a smaller distilled
24
:model that runs on mobile devices.
25
:For example, the pixel a pro and what's
interesting to know is what is really
26
:different from Bard versus Gemini.
27
:So Bard, it's an interface through which
certain Gemini models can be accessed.
28
:So think of it like an app
or a client for Gemini.
29
:And other gen AI models, but Gemini,
what that is, is it's a family of models.
30
:It's not an app or front end.
31
:There's no standalone Gemini experience,
nor is there ever going to be one.
32
:So if you compare the two products, Bard
really corresponds to chat GP team, which.
33
:Is, you know, opening eyes, AI app, and
then Gemini corresponds to the language
34
:model that powers it, which is chat.
35
:GPT is GPT for right now.
36
:So what exactly does Gemini do?
37
:So Gemini models are multimodal.
38
:So what they can do is they can
perform a range of tasks anywhere from
39
:transcribing speech to captioning images.
40
:And videos to generating artwork.
41
:And a lot of these capabilities
have reached the product stage
42
:so far, and there's going to be
more coming up in the near future.
43
:So you guys can check this Google Gemini
out and let me know what you guys think.
44
:And then other exciting news
in AI, let's talk about.
45
:GPT and the upcoming release of GPT 5, you
know, Sam Altman has been talking a lot
46
:about, you know, different things when it
comes to GPT 5 and basically it's going to
47
:be expected to be a true multimodal model.
48
:It's going to be similar to actually
Google's new Gemini Ultra and
49
:OpenAI, you know, last year started
training GPT 5 and Altman said
50
:that it's going to be, obviously.
51
:A significant improvement over GPT 4,
especially with its ability to understand
52
:complex queries and the real world.
53
:And what Altman said to Bill Gates is
that for at least the next 5 to 10 years,
54
:we will be on a steep improvement curve.
55
:This is the stupidest
these models will ever be.
56
:So then the question is, is there
ever going to be a super intelligence?
57
:So one of the goals of open AI is to
have artificial general intelligence,
58
:which is a G I as their final goal.
59
:And that's basically, it's creating
a form of super intelligence.
60
:That's supposed to be smarter than
humanity and much more capable.
61
:And there were some suggestions
early on that the GPT five model.
62
:Might be some form of super intelligence,
however, speculation that surrounding
63
:the model suggests that it's going
to be basically a better version of
64
:the AI that we already have using
Chachapiti 4, or for example, Google's
65
:Gemini Ultra, or Anthropic's Clawed 2.
66
:But it's going to have much better
reasoning capabilities and not just
67
:in terms of outperforming humans
on things like academic tests and
68
:assessments, but also having a degree
of understanding that goes beyond just
69
:copying and mirroring human intelligence.
70
:So what is it that people
actually want from GPT 5?
71
:So one of the biggest problems with models
like 4 is that it tends to make up things.
72
:So AI tends to make up things,
which is known as hallucinations.
73
:And that in part is like an
issue that needs to be solved
74
:and will be solved in GPT 5.
75
:So that's really, really good because
Made up information is not good.
76
:And if you guys are using chat,
GBT and other similar AI tools,
77
:and you're not proofchecking the
information before you're putting
78
:it out there, that's a big, no, no.
79
:I say that all the time.
80
:You don't want to do that
because you will get screwed.
81
:And let's just put it that way.
82
:You don't want to do that.
83
:So then the other thing that Altman
told Gates is that he said, if you ask
84
:GPT 4 most questions 10, 000 times,
one of those 10, 000 is probably pretty
85
:good, but it doesn't know which one.
86
:And so if you want to get the best
response of 10, 000 every time, so that's
87
:going to be important in reliability.
88
:The other improvement that's going
to be made is going to be the
89
:ability to customize how AI responds.
90
:And acts and solves problems.
91
:So some of this problem solving has
actually become possible with them
92
:adding GPTs, which are these personalized
chatbots that are built on top of
93
:chat GPT to function a particular
way to do things a particular way.
94
:And to streamline processes for people so
that people can have a more personalized
95
:experience with their custom GPT.
96
:And if you guys need a custom GPT,
I'm actually creating custom GPTs.
97
:For law firms, for entrepreneurs, for
business owners, I've created a couple
98
:for myself already and for some clients.
99
:And I have to tell you, it
really, really makes a difference
100
:in how you're using chat GPT.
101
:It streamlines the process of how much
time it takes to do different things.
102
:And it just.
103
:Pretty amazing.
104
:And I am going to be spending more time
creating more because there's a GPT store.
105
:And if you guys don't know, you
can make money creating GPTs.
106
:I'm going to talk about that a
little bit later on this episode.
107
:So make sure that you guys are continuing
to listen all the way through the end.
108
:So the other thing that people want,
that's not, you know, currently happening,
109
:they want to see different styles and
responses and even like different.
110
:Variations of assumptions, right?
111
:And they're going to make it possible to
have that and also to use our own data.
112
:And that's important.
113
:And then the other interesting thing
to note is that Microsoft and Google
114
:have already taken steps to integrate
AI models with personal data through co
115
:pilots integrations with 365 and then
with Bards association with Workspace.
116
:So this is going to be making it easier
for people to, you know, have AI within
117
:their calendars within their appointments
and really just improve the way that
118
:they're working from day to day.
119
:Okay.
120
:The other thing I wanted to share with
you guys, because I thought that this
121
:was really interesting is I want to share
with you what the 10 most popular top AI
122
:tools were for 2023, based on rankings
and how many total visits that they had.
123
:So number one, of course, is chat GPT.
124
:And that is basically in the category
of an AI chat bot and chat GPT had 14.
125
:6 billion.
126
:Total visits from the data
that I pulled this from.
127
:And then number two is character
dot AI, and that's also an AI chat
128
:bot and character dot AI had 3.
129
:8 billion total visits.
130
:And then number three, we
have Quillbot, which is an AI
131
:writing tool, and that had 1.
132
:1 billion, and then we have Midjourney,
another one of my personal favorites
133
:that I use to create thousands of
images that I can even turn into
134
:mugs and wall art, all those things.
135
:So Midjourney is an image
generator, and that had 500.
136
:4 million.
137
:And then we have Hugging Face, which
is in the category of data science.
138
:And And that had total 316.
139
:6 million visits.
140
:And then number six, we've got
BARD, and that's an AI chatbot
141
:as well, similar to chatGBT.
142
:And that one had 241.
143
:6 million.
144
:And then we have Novel AI, that's N O
V E L, and that's an AI writing tool.
145
:And that had 238.
146
:7 million.
147
:And then we've got another one of my
favorites, number eight, which is CapCut.
148
:And CapCut is a tool that you can
use on your desktop or on your phone.
149
:And it's a video editing
tool and a video generator.
150
:And CapCut had 203.
151
:8 million.
152
:And then number nine, janitor
AI, and that's an AI chat bot.
153
:And that had 192.
154
:4 million.
155
:And then number 10, we have something
called CIVIT AI, C I V I T A I.
156
:And that one is an image
generator that had 177.
157
:2 million.
158
:So I hope that you found those
numbers insightful because.
159
:That's a lot of that's a lot of
because that's a lot of views.
160
:It really, really, really is.
161
:All right.
162
:So some other interesting things that I
wanted to talk about in terms of what's
163
:new in AI is that Bill Gates, of course,
is really big on artificial intelligence.
164
:And he's actually predicting that
AI is going to be transformative for
165
:everyone within the next five years.
166
:And, you know, he's saying that there
was like actually another article that
167
:talked about how The International
Monetary Fund reported that about
168
:40 percent of jobs around the world
would be affected by the rise of AI.
169
:So Bill Gates, he actually does not
necessarily disagree with that notion.
170
:However, he does believe that history
shows every new technology comes with fear
171
:and then it comes with new opportunity.
172
:And I think that's huge
because what he's saying is.
173
:That a lot of new job categories,
you know, were created and we're
174
:way better off than we were
when we were doing farm work.
175
:When you think about
like back in:
176
:So you said this situation with
AI is going to be just like that.
177
:So he's saying that AI is going
to make everyone's life easier.
178
:And he indicated specifically to
the medical industry that doctors.
179
:It's going to really help them do
their paperwork part of the job that
180
:they're not really fond of doing.
181
:And it can help them be
very efficient with that.
182
:The other thing that he shared in this
article is that he said that, you know,
183
:AI, it's actually like having a white
collar worker to be a tutor or to give
184
:healthcare advice or to help write code
or to help with technical support calls.
185
:And when you think about it, it is true.
186
:AI can actually do a lot.
187
:And it's like about knowing how to
use it the right way, but it can,
188
:it can help, help you do a lot.
189
:And then some of the things like I
want to talk about next is, well, how
190
:do you use chat GPT for your benefit?
191
:And what can you use it for?
192
:So one of the ways that you can
use chat GPT is to land yourself
193
:a promotion or get a raise.
194
:So.
195
:If you feel like, okay, you've been
working hard, go for America, whatever,
196
:and you want to basically be able to
present a strong argument that you can
197
:go over with your employer, your boss,
and your next performance review, well,
198
:You can actually tell it, hey, I want
you to give me like, you know, the
199
:skills I would need for this promotion.
200
:I want you to even help me plan what
questions they may ask or how I can
201
:highlight all my achievements this year.
202
:So ChatGPT can help you draft
that in a concise manner.
203
:It can help you predict what are
the factors that they would look
204
:for in giving someone a promotion.
205
:It can even tell you how to
negotiate the promotion, right?
206
:So there's one way that you can use it.
207
:The other way that you can use
chat GPT Is you can actually
208
:use it to get business ideas.
209
:So let's say if you were leaving corporate
America, you're starting your own business
210
:and you're not even quite sure exactly
what type of business you want to start,
211
:but you have an idea of like, okay, you
know, what criteria you're looking for?
212
:Like, do you want to be
able to work from home?
213
:Do you want it to be like low investment?
214
:You can give chat GPT all that
information and you can say, give me
215
:a list of 25 different business ideas.
216
:Then you go look through that list.
217
:You pick one or two that you like, then
you say, okay, chat GPT, I want you to
218
:write me a detailed business plan and you
can say, act as a professional business
219
:advisor and write a detailed business
plan, you know, write a detailed marketing
220
:plan and it can do all of that for you.
221
:So then you can even say,
give me resources for my city.
222
:In terms of what I would need to start
a new business or what are some things I
223
:need to know about you can do all of that.
224
:Now, the one I'm really excited about
is that you can actually make passive
225
:income with their new chat GPT GPT store
like last year, they announced it, but
226
:they really just released it in January.
227
:And now, like, basically, you can have
developers make custom GPTs, and depending
228
:on how popular their GPT is in terms
of how people are using it, you know,
229
:you can Make money off of that and you
are also allowed to promote it from, I
230
:think, reading opening as guidelines that
says you are allowed to advertise it.
231
:You're allowed to share it on
social media, you know, and
232
:groups and things like that.
233
:So that's a great way
of making extra money.
234
:You just have to, you know, be creative
in terms of what you're coming up with.
235
:So just be creative, think outside
the box and think of how we can solve
236
:a problem or, you know, fill like a
gap in the marketplace that's there.
237
:And I think that's just a great way
to have some extra income coming in.
238
:Now, the other way that you can use
ChatGBT, which I think a lot of people
239
:are already using it for, it's one of
the major ways they're using it, is
240
:to really save time and, you know, use
it for content creation, for writing
241
:blog posts, for writing, you know,
landing pages for your events, maybe
242
:you're doing a live LinkedIn room.
243
:Things like that, or even to improve
your current website copy and make it
244
:a little bit more personalized, add a
bit of a personal brand touch to it.
245
:And it's great for that.
246
:But you do want to look it over
and tweak it and put the human
247
:element and intelligence into it.
248
:Like I always say, that's
what my caution is about.
249
:Use AI, but use it intelligently.
250
:And then the other thing is, you
can use it to You know, to get
251
:more business, you can ask it
like, how can I get more business?
252
:This is exactly what I do.
253
:And it can give you a ton of ideas.
254
:And if you like some of those ideas,
then you can take those ideas.
255
:So you can say, Oh,
please elaborate on that.
256
:Right.
257
:Please elaborate.
258
:So I think it's just really
interesting where AI is going.
259
:It is like just improving.
260
:It's going to get better and better.
261
:Like I said earlier, the next
generation model of GPT five, it's
262
:going to have like way better,
you know, reasoning capabilities.
263
:It's going to be more accurate.
264
:It's going to have video support.
265
:So I'm really excited for that
because things are just going.
266
:To be more improved.
267
:It's only going to get
better and better with time.
268
:So my question to you is if you're not
currently embracing AI, and if you're
269
:not currently using these tools, you
currently do not have a plan for how
270
:you're going to incorporate AI in your
law firm or in your business to be
271
:more productive or even into your life.
272
:Maybe you're.
273
:In corporate America, you should be
thinking about all these things right
274
:now, because if you're not going
to, you're going to get left behind.
275
:And I don't say that to scare you,
but the reality is AI is moving
276
:so fast and it makes my head spin.
277
:And I'm an AI strategist
and a marketing expert.
278
:And if I'm seeing that it's moving so fast
that I'm like, Oh my God, there's so much.
279
:To learn.
280
:There's so many new tools.
281
:There's so many new things happening
that the ordinary person they're going to
282
:feel like they're becoming irrelevant if
they're not learning about AI and how to
283
:use it in their business and their life
to be more productive, to get the answers
284
:that they need to type up those letters
that would have taken them an hour, and
285
:now they can have a letter in 30 seconds.
286
:How much more time can
they get back in their day?
287
:So those are all things to think about.
288
:If you do need help with your AI or
marketing strategy, reach out to me.
